In 1979, Khaled Sabbagh started his career as a Marine Engineer in BAPCO’s Marine Division. He gradually progressed through various positions of increased responsibility such as Senior Marine Engineer, Superintendent Marine Engineering and General Superintendent Wharf/Marine.
In 2002 he became Manager for Oil Storage & Export, responsible for all the logistics activities relating to the Company’s oil movement, storage and export facilities. In 2008, he became Manager of Oil Processing Department, responsible for all the manufacturing (refining) activities at the Bahrain refinery.
In 2010, he was appointed General Manager - Marketing. He Responsible for the sale and marketing of all the products produced by the refinery in both the domestic and international market. In 2013, he was given charge as General Manager – Maintenance, where he was responsible for the safe upkeep and operational reliability of all the company’s assets. In 2015, he was appointed General Manager - Human Resources and Administration, responsible for HR, Administration, Security, Medical, Corporate Services, Learning & Development and Corporate Communications.
In 2016, Khaled Sabbagh was appointed as General Manager - Special Projects and is currently serving the same position. Under the current capacity, he manages various projects/initiatives which have impact on the organization from the Strategic, Commercial and Safety point of view. He is currently assigned to review and improve the Retail Business, the Asphalt Truck business, and the re-branding of the organization
